Paulanne Simmon's One Acts
Pigeons
About Pigeons:
Joe, a young, unemployed computer analyst, and Max, an elderly widower, meet on a park bench, share lunch, exchange observations on life and play a game of catch. Before they part they discover how much one can learn from the hardy pigeon.
Writers Inspiration: I wrote Pigeons for a festival devoted to the environment at Theater For The New City. I pictured two people in a park. Happily, the play took me to places I had not imagined.
